Factory Resetting Scale

How to return the Star Micronics mG-T series scales back to factory settings. WARNING: Resetting your scale will make it lose any configuration changes you have made.

  1. Power ON the scale by pressing and holding the Zero button.
  2. During startup, when you see “u1.131F”, press the Tare button.
  3. Press the Tare button x4 you get to “F4 rst” and press the Zero button.
  4. You should see “YES” as the first option displayed. If so, press the Zero button to return to the main menu.
  5. If you see “no”, press the Tare button once so it says “yes” and then press the Zero button to return to the main menu.
  6. Press the Tare button x2 and you should see “back”. Press the Zero button and it should bring you back to a zeroed out weight display.
