Recalibrating Zebra ZD420/421 Media Sensor
How to recalibrate the media sensor for your Zebra printer.
If you have trouble with your printer printing extra blank labels, it may be time to clean or recalibrate the media sensor.
The Media Sensor detects the length of a label and the gap between labels and may need to be cleaned or calibrated from time to time or when changing to a different brand/ type of label. To clean, gently wipe the top of the sensor with a damp cloth. Ensure the sensor is positioned left to right in a position that the center of the labels will pass over it. If this does not resolve the problem, follow the steps below to recalibrate the sensor.
