Turning on the Backlight for the mG-T Scales

How to make the display backlight stay on for the Star Micronics mG-T series scales.

  1. Power ON the scale by pressing and holding the Zero button.
  2. During startup, when you see “u1.131F”, press the Tare button.
  3. You should immediately see “F0 bL” in the main menu. Press the Zero button.
  4. The display will likely say “Auto” but it could say “on” or “off”. Press the Tare button until it says “on” and then press the Zero button.
  5. Press the Tare button x6 and you should see “back”. Press the Zero button and it should bring you back to a zeroed out weight display.
