Adding/Editing a Printer in DeliLabel

Here you will find step-by-step instruction on adding your first print station and making any necessary changes you may need.

Overview

Before you start, you will need to make sure you have the printer of choice connected by either WiFi, bluetooth, or ethernet. The appropriate guides can be found at the links below.

  1. Download and install the DeliLabel app from the Apple App Store. Enter your
    User Email and Password that was sent to you when you created an App User in
    the Admin Dashboard.

  2. Tap the Menu icon on the bottom left corner of the screen, then tap Settings, and
    then tap Printer Stations.

  3. If this is your initial setup, you will have no printers saved. Tap Create Printer
    Station.

  4. Select a Printer connection: You should select either Zebra WiFiZebra
    Bluetooth, or Bixolon WiFi depending on which type of connection you established in the guides above.
  5. Zebra BluetoothBefore continuing, you must open your device’s Bluetooth settings and forget the device, then reconnect to it. This disconnects the printer from
    the Zebra app and allows DeliLabel to find it.
    1. Return to DeliLabel and tap Zebra Bluetooth.

    2. If this is your first time setting up a printer, you will get a pop up like the
      one below. Select OK. If you select Don’t Allow, you will need to go into the iPad’s settings and allow DeliLabel™ to access Bluetooth before
      continuing.

    3. Select your printer from the list. If your printer does not appear in the list,
      forget the printer in the iPad’s settings and reconnect. Then return to
      DeliLabel and try again.

    4. After selecting your printer, the type, name, and IP fields will now be filled
      in. Select the appropriate label size and press Print a Test Label. Be
      sure that you click Save in the upper right corner.

    5. You should now see your Bluetooth connected printer in the list of printers.
      You can close the printer setup window.
  6. Zebra WiFi Printer Connection: To connect to a Zebra printer through WiFi, the
    printer must first be connected to your local WiFi Network. This was covered in the
    guide above.
    1. Tap Zebra WiFi.

    2. If this is your initial setup, you will see a popup like the one below. Tap
      Allow to enable DeliLabel to connect to devices on your network. If you
      tap Don’t Allow, you will need to go into your iPad’s settings and give
      DeliLabel this permission before continuing.

    3. If your printer doesn’t appear on the list, tap to the left or right of the
      search window, then tap Zebra WiFi to search again. It may take more than
      one search to find a printer. Your printer will have the name you gave it in
      the Zebra Printer Setup Utility app (serial number is the default).

    4. The printer information will autofill the type, name, and IP fields. Select the
      label size that matches what is in your printer. You can hit Print a Test Label
      and then tap Save in the upper right corner.

    5. Your printer will now be visible in the list of connected printers. You can
      close the Printer Station window.
  7. Bixolon WiFi Printer Connection: To connect to a Bixolon printer through WiFi, the
    printer must first be connected to your local Wifi Network.This was covered in the guide above.
    1. Tap Bixolon Wifi.

    2. If this is your initial setup, you will see a popup like the one below. Tap Allow to
      enable DeliLabel to connect to devices on your network. If you tap Don’t
      Allow, you will need to go into your iPad’s settings and give DeliLabel this
      permission before continuing.

    3. If your printer doesn’t appear on the list, tap to the left or right of the search
      window, then tap Bixolon WiFi to search again. It may take more than one search
      to find a printer. Your printer name will match the model number of the printer.
      Tap on your printer to select it.

    4. The printer information fields will now be filled in. Select the appropriate label
      size and tap WiFi Printer Settings. On the WiFi settings page, set the Media
      Width to the appropriate setting for your labels. Set the Print Speed to 4 IPS and
      the Darkness to 30. Tap Save.

    5. Press Print a Test Label and then click Save in the upper right corner.

    6. Your printer will now be visible in the list of connected printers. You can close the
      Printer Station window.
